Report from Zürich
Digital Art Weeks in Zurich were organized by Jürg Gutknecht, Art Clay and Stefan Müller Arisona @ ETH Zürich. It was a fun 5 days of artist talks, performances and parties. Some of the highlights included Regine Debbaty's (http://www.we-make-money-not-art.com/) talk on bio-tech art, and the presentation by Michelle Riel and Helen Thorington (turbulence.org) about social network and participatory art.
My paper "DIY: The Militant Embrace of Technology", (which is not necessarily included in the highlight section), was an attempt to clarify some of the theoretical issues sparked by 8 BIT.
